Good News - One of my favourite resorts - Medolino Caravan Resort in Port Alfred - is re-opening after extensive floods almost two years ago. For more details read the News Letter in News Broadcast. (NBS)

http://www.caravanparks.com/52.News.htm

Derek tells me that they are now starting to take bookings - Let's support Medolino as this is an exceptionally nice and well run and maintained resort. Always worth a visit.

Here is a pic of me working my butt off at Medolino a number of years ago!

This photo of their sites taken about two years ago, and has survived the floods.

A great resort, a great management!

Regards.
This is how we spent the last fifteen years - working our buts off!

Brian, there was not much they could do to prevent it. The resort is at the bottom of a hill, close to a pump station. The municipality has not sorted the drainage issues, despite there having been previous floods. If the drainage is not right, there is nowhere else for the water to go, as there is a big dune behind the resort as well.

Very good news that the resort is re-opening, it is beautiful.

Not to be too negative but I hope the sites are bigger now? Our last visit, with 3 sides hedges growing like children, we could not fit our car on the stand next to our middle sized Romany.
