What is your number one favourite food to make when you are on holilday?
If you say braai be specific as to what you braai ..
Our favourite camping food is braai and potjie.
When it comes to braai, we usually start off with a Cheriso sausage and then we either have lamb tjops or some steak, either fillet or rump, and always a piece of boerewors. With the meat we either have pap and gravy or some salads and or the famous braai broodjies. Sweet patatoes are also a favourite, covered with foil and baked in the coals while the meat is on the braai.
We have two favourite potjies. Oxtail and Chicken and Prawn curry.
Regards
Rachel
My is braai and spesial pofader i love it
Jaffles for breakfast!!
Ham, Cheese and Egg. Good start to the day.
Wimpy Bacon & Egg sarmie on the road. Lamb Shank Potjie (when I can affort it!) with Cous Cous and braai-roasted veg.
For our favourite breakfast we like to spoil ourselves with a cheese and asparagus omelette with balsamic fried cocktail tomatoes, and our treat for dinner will be skottel-braaied peri-peri prawns with risotto.
A big brunch to see us through the day.
Fresh orange juice.
Fruit cocktail consisting of banana, paw paw end watermelon or what is available.
Bacon, beef sausage, fried tomato, fried mushrooms and soft eggs on toast.
Slice toast with honey.
Coffee.
Now this looks like the business!
I have added both in the same post before.

Here goes. Sorry, a bit scary.
When we go caravaning I do all the manual work - puting up tent , getting camp-site ready etc. My wife does all the cooking , and as she also reads this forum I had better say that ANY food she prepares is my best camping food.
Fortunately she still brings along some bottled goods - like cold beer - which is also one of my favourites.
Did Leon mention they even have a Butler.
Very nice photo Alex.
Siegfried, you better not let the other campers know where you are camping next or you will have a lot of them coming for breakfast and supper.
Regards MArg

Willem, jy praat nou van GROOT KOS daar!!!, maak my kop en liggaam so deurmekaar soos vriend Morne se handtekening foto hierbo, skoon skeef!!!!
Nee, phokkit, ek gaat nou slaap!!! SIES!!!!!
Julle ouens maak my honger !
Nee ek het nie n Butler nie. By ons gaan kamp en lekker eet saam.
Sonja, first of all welcome to the forum!!!!
I can't help you with the exact explanation, but sit tight, the experts will very soon come to the rescue!!!, some are still out camping!!!!
You can also click on the Recipes Icon top right, you might find answers there, as well as a recipe book or two!!!
Hi Sonja. I usually braai chopped onions mushrooms bacon or what ever. Then you beat some eggs and bring a pot of water to boil. Put some of the braai mix in a Ziplock bag, pour some of the egg in, about half full, shake it a bit. LETOUT ALL THE AIR, and close the ziplock bag. Put the bag in the boiling water and hook the top over the side of the pot and hold down with the lid. Let it zimmer until the egg is done.
Tilt the ommelet out of the bag. If you really want you can wash the bags for re use.
n' lekker vinige boereworsroll met warm koffie
