Extra room on Tent

Happy New Year.
wanted to ask we are looking at buying a caravan that comes with a rally, full tent and the add-a-room tent.
Those that have this extra tent are we able to use it without having to put up the full tent each time so connecting to the rally only? Or can it only be used when you have put up the full tent?
