Help tog asseblief.

Ons soek kampeer resepte wat nie suiker, meel, pasta, rys of aartappel in het nie. Hierdie is blykbaar die groot sondebokke, maar ai, tog so lekker!

Watter soort meel is versoenbaar met so ‘n kwaal? Ek is seker hier is ‘n paar kundiges.

Dankie dat jy vra Pieter, want ek sukkel ook om my glukose vlak onder 10mmol/l te kry, wat nog die ideal van maksimum 5,5mmol/l !

My Way Of Eating, makes buying and prepping simple. Meat and maybe some  avo. Klaar for braai.

I do not look for low carb alternatives, ie low carb bread, biscuits... sweeteners etc.

At home, mashed brocolli and cauliflower as a base for curry and stew, which will have baby marrow, Patti pans, brinjal, bit potato and carrots.

Daar is kook resepte en boeke, kyk op die internet.

Die boek, GOD se Resepte, is ook daar. Dis soos GOD se Apteek.

Ek is tans besig om deur n paar resepte boeke te werk.

Sal bietjie aandag aan diabetes gee, sal sien wat ek kry.

Raad by dieetkundige gekry om suikerinhoud drasties te verlaag - Oats en Creamie meal word reeds vorige aand gemaak volgens gewone aanwysings op pak - sodra dit begin kook sit jy deksel op en stoof af en los dit net so tot volgende oggend.   Skep in porsies en bere in yskas en warm op soos nodig in mikrogolf.  Die feit dat dit afkoel en weer warm gemaak word het iets te doen met die glukose wat afgebreek word.  Oats hou so 3 dae in yskas maar creamie meal 2 dae dan raak dit suur.

N heerlike ICED TEA vir diabete en ander - swart bitter Rooibostee afgekoel met Sweeto gemmerbier of Slimsy suurlemoen konsentraat (by oros op rak) na smaak.  Bedien yskoud. Die gemmerbier is regtig lekker vir my en help sommer dat mens minder gaskoeldranke drink.

Een van ons gereelde disse, selfs wanneer ons kamp, is herderspastei. Ons het 'n Q 1200 gas Weber wat saam kamp, en enigiets wat in 'n oond gemaak kan word ook kan maak - meestal net lekkerder. In elk geval, soms maak ons die herderspastei in 'n plat swartboompot op die kole, met 'n paar kooltjies op die deksel.

Wat die dis diabeet-vriendelik maak is dat die aartappel binne in die vulsel, asook die aartappel in die kors met patat vervang word, en dit is werklik lekker.

The great thing about food types, we all react differently. 

So test a couple of senarios and then you know. Before meal, I and 2 hours after meal. Make with white potatoes, sweet potatoes and without any. (and/or a combo of both).
