Thank you for the information . We are really not aware of roads in that area and going to lower Sabie for 7 nights 

From Lower Sabie to White River your best bet is to exit Kruger through Phabeni Gate.

If you exit HAZYVIEW at the 3 way STOP you must turn Right onto the R40. If you carry on strait you will drive through the problem / safety high risk area

The R38 from Barberton to Badplaas used to be an excellent road in very good condition.

Travelled on it Wednesday 16 Feb with the Harley from Badplaas side towards Barberton. Never again with a motorcycle. I hit a number of potholes that gets hidden by shaded areas on the road. The road is used by timber companies and other heavy duty transporters avoiding the expensive N4 tollgate at Machadodorp, causing it to show signs of deep damage developing.

Should you choose to use this road, just be aware of the odd pothole and some holes developing.
