HI guys

Been trying to view some of the clubs available but each time I click on a link the page re-freshes.. its so frustrating.. so i cant view each clubs contact persons.

We are a young professional family with a daughter of 3 years, now that she is old enough we want to get back into the Camping outdoors and meet and make new friends.

Any ideas and contacts for some good choice clubs.

Hi Gus welcome to the forum.

I would suggest that you get your tents and goodies packed and go do some camping. Normally all campers are generally friendly and you would have made lots of friends by the time the Club websites have sorted out them selves.

Another thing!  Bit of advice you can do with what you want to, before joining a club first attend some of the rallies they have as a guest. 

Caravan Clubs....... is ... not.... everyone's..... cup of tea. This way you can make a proper decision to join or not.

Hi Gus, wonder wat n professionele familie behels? Haha.. hier is meestal maar bietjie verder gevorderdes, en hoekom wag jy so lank? My dogtertjie se eerste kamp was op 3 maande ;) nou jaar en 3 maande en het paar kere ao gaan kamp, yes, dis bietjie n challenge, maar doenbaar!

Kyk maar of jy raloues kan bywoon.. maar redelike jong mense in die kamp bedryf wat aan klubs gaan behoort dink ek gaan skaars wees.. jong mense sukkel meestal om hul karre, huise ens betaal te kry, wat nog van karavane en sulke dinge.. groot seen as jy kan... sterkte, dalk moet jy jou eie klub stig as jy nie een kry jie, haha, dan tree jy uit op 40 en join ander klub! Haha, lekker bui vandag vitr twakpraat

We definitely going to just go out and hope we meet some people before just joining a club. pity we the only ones in group of friends that actually enjoy camping :(

Hi Gus, Welcome and yes I am a member of a club for 15 years and yes it does have advantages and disadvantages. It depends on you as a person. With a club you have campers around you with the same interests as you and your family. Normally a club allow you to camp with them for up to 3 times before they expect of you to join them and yes that will give you more than enough time to consider if you like clubs or not. Hope you enjoy your camping and I am sure your kids will with all the freedom and space they will have available.

Hi Gus and welcome here. Yip us campers are a breed apart. A problem you may have with a club, is (in my past experience) some caravan clubs say they are CARAVAN clubs and not tent clubs. I remember the chairman of one of the clubs I belonged to said our two man tents for the children looked like a squatter camp. Needles to say we resigned from them. But there are clubs that welcome all campers, good luck with the serch.

We are going on our first camp month end to Hennops Pride... heard so many great things about the place... going to put our new equipment to the test and have a few laughs i bet.

Gus the moment you are sorted out with your new equipment you must get those friends of yours to visit you during one of your camping trips. You will find that they will first visit you more often. And later be part of the camping family
