I am in the market for a new stove. What are pros & cons of these stoves( LK make) over the Cadac stainless steel stove? Which one is a good buy?
Dankie
the cast iron is more robust than the Stainless
the cast iron weighs more
I have seen people using the cast iron stove on the ground without anything underneath, would one do that with the stainless steel stove?
Ek gebruik geen gas nie, maar as ek eendag moet oorslaan na gas, sal hierdie Cadac stoof my keuse wees
Using the Cadac for many years(camping and with power failure) without any problems.
I have one of those cast iron ones. It is good but quite difficult to adjust to a low flame without it going off completely. You can get it to burn low with practice. I usually use mine for jaffles for which it is really good.
I would like one of those compact Cadac double burners but they are quite pricey at R1999.00. I am still trying to justify the price.

Both of the stoves you have pictured burns with a soft flame. These type of burners do not like windy conditions and you will always need to cover the windy side for them to work best.
I would suggest to get the two plate Cadac stove that has the old blow type burners. Similar to the old single Potjiekos burners:
