We are considering a trip of atleast 8 nights to Namibia and wonder if anybody can recommend a budget park, especially after the economical effects of COVID-19
Ed sal jou kan voorsien. Hy ken daai plek.
Redelike tariewe.

Hi David. Welcome back long time not hearing from you. Hope you you've been keeping well.
Would be interesting what feedback you get. What do you use to tow with now?
Well thanks Leon. Been on pension for nearly three years. Other than house chires, keep myself busy by running, (usually beteeen 5 and 10km in training and parkruns every weekend) and still umpire cricket games in NW.
I took the Sonic to agent in Klerksdorp who kept it for 5 months and gave it back advising I must do rings which was not a problem. So, I traded it for an Audi A1 1.6Tdi.
We have not towed the Caravette over long distances yet, too get a good feel of it's abilities, which seem tto be in order.
However, we have towed, comfortably between 80 and 100kph, our Slipstream to Mossel Bay and East London with a consumption above 21km per litre.
I have read a lot of comments about towing incorrect weights on the forum. The Slipstream GVM exceeds the Audi unbraked towing capacity and may mention that I have been pulled off three times and not once were licencing weights looked at. Probably because it looks like trailer whilst the car can tow a much bigger looking caravan.
parkrun re-opens in Namibia next week. So, now we are looking forward to a long trip, as soon as we feel we can manage - still in the consideration stage.
The only park I know in Windhoek is Arebbusch. What a neat place. We normally stay in their chalets on our way to Henties Bay on our annual fishing trip. I walked through their caravan park last year. Very nice place.
Tks Chris ... actually had my eye on that area.
We too stayed at Arrebusch in the private ablutions section. Has a lovely storeroom attached where we stored things that otherwise would have been in the vehicle while driving around. Clean and well kept gardens plus a super restaurant. We based here after our six weeks on the road to prepare for the long drive back to Kzn. Enjoy.
There is also the Sun Karros in Windhoek.
Ons staan gewoonlik by Senyati, 20km suid van Kasane, pragtig in alle opsig.
