Has anyone done a caravan suspension upgrade to allow the fitment of bigger wheels?

I've got a 95 Fleetline XL, with 13" wheels, and when I tow it behind my Isuzu, it looks a bit odd.

I'd like to upgrade the caravan to allow the fitment of 14 or 15 inch wheels, and in wondering if anyone has find something similar before?

Someone had a topic re fitting bigger wheels some weeks ago. Can't remember the type of caravan. Do some searches in the forum.

Hi Greg. My friend installed the same spacers as mine on his 96 Expo and converted to 14" tyres. Your caravan should have the same axle setup which means that you will be able to install the spacers. When or if your replace the 13" with 14" rims, make sure of the PCD of the rim and if it is a 4 or 5 bolt hole before you buy other rims. The tyres that I have are Dunlop 185/14C 8PR. I am not a day sorry that I did the conversion. If it is what you want, let us know your towing experience with the new set up.

Shot RD...

I'm going to get a pair of spacers fitted at my service next month, then I'll see how it works... might not need the 14" wheels..

The "spacers" could also be made by using square tubing with a thick enought side wall and outside size of your liking (for the height of lift). The axle bolts (usually 4x) has to be loosend to install this.
