If you have children or relative with a fixed address, use them to give you a letter stating that you reside with them. You will also need a copy of their rates and taxes or electricity bill. You will have to go their respective licensing department to do your license but it will have to be in the same province where your vehicle was originally registered.
For a proof of address there are many documents that can be used. Bank statement, cell phone account, telkom account, etc.
Change ur address to a place where you are now and stay there until you can get a statement with the residential street address of the place so that it can be used as proof of address.
Unfortunately any new account will need a proof of address.
See valid documents below.
Ek sit tans in die buiteland. Maar jy kon my adress gebruik het vir al wat dit werd is. Eers in Des terug laat weet as jy teen daai tyd nog nie reggekom het nie.
Lekker skerp nè! ! ! ! ! ! !

Scan the license disk, photo shop the date and off you go, I presume it's legal in SA
Looks like the licencing department has for whatever reason decided to send out notifications about license renewals again.
I have recieved one for my caravan and one for my wife small car. Thus it is not nessesary to fill in that forms again and make copies of ID and proof of adress. Like previously you just take the notification and go pay your fees no problem.
Limpopo licencing department failed to send out reminders this year so we drove to the Southern Cape unlicenced and because of that I got a R500 fine at Swellendam for my car. On my way back, I was stopped near Bloemfontein with the caravan in tow. I argued that the fine I paid covered me until I was able to pay my licence. The kind lady did not buy that but showed me mercy. Luckily she did not look at the caravan's disk too. For our five vehicles I was fined about R1500 for late licencing so with the R500 fine, it cost me about R2000 which is more that the cost of the actual licences. I wonder if perhaps they intentionally do not send out reminders as many motorists probably forget about this and they therefore make much more on their licences.
I you have an insurance claim while technically unlicenced, you claim might probably be refused too, not that a little paper disk makes your car more or less roadworthy!
I also received the renewal for the caravan licence. No more forms to fill in.
