Capetown permanent sites
Warmest greetings,IV been touring country alone for last 5 years and have acquired a partner and considering a permanent site in Cape town, any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Who dares wins
Have a look at Hardekraaltjie in Bellvile and then possibly Ou Skip Park out Blouberg way.
Speak to the Manager at Hardekraaltjie about a special rate, he had to take in permanents or else the Municipality wanted to shut them down, but that was years ago. Ablutions are old but always spotless.
Greatly appreciated,that sounds great,I'll investigate

Hello Lance my old friend Glad to hear from you again We always seem to miss each other when you are in Melkbosstrand Are you still bird watching Seems you have found the one youve been looking for Ha Ha Ha Hope you find a good permanent site where you will be happy Let us know where you settle
Lance you can also try Chapmans Caravan Park near Noordhoek and Imhof Park in Kommetjie if you want to consider the Southern Suburbs. There are permanent campers in both those parks.
Regards

Chapmans peak is closing down and are not taking on any new campers, [ we spoke to them last month ], Imhoff are not taking new permanents and only allow a 1 month stay, [ was there last week.]
two roads diverged in a wood and i took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

Harderkraaltjie are unsure that there lease will be renewed with the municipality next year, and are reluctant to take on permanents or long termers , stating you come at the risk of being asked to leave if they dont get a new lease. [ was there last week ] after checking the park out, we would not stay there.

Ou Skip now only allow a 2 month stay, [ was there last week ] whilst the park is old it is neat and appears well run, we will be staying there for 2 months next year.

Van Zyls Rus [ Kuils river ] are doing longer term stays but they are super expensive, whilst we have a prelimary booking for next year, we are looking for less expensive options.

We are currently on an off the grid campsite that have permanent stands, however may not be for everyone........
Whats up me on 072 6685 345 for more information.

We have found what we think the reason is for limited long term stays is that the parks never know who they getting in, and that in most cases when your time limit is up and one has buildt up a good relationship [ how you live ] with owners/ management it can normaly be extended.
However we have seen longterm setups that owners/managers are only to happy to see the back of, and hence the short term clause.

Leentjiesklip have a 3 month clause but we have seen them extend this on consultation with the manager.
