Of is daar ander plekke se tente wat jul sal aanbeveel?

WAARSKUWING:

Kampeer is aansteeklik en verslawend 😁

Makro se tente is grootendeels Campmaster produkte.

Ek het destyds 'n Geelon fabrikaat by Midas gekoop, 'n 4-man.

We had a Tentco 2,5X2,5 Dome tent for many years and trips and sold it for alot more than I paid for it when we got the caravan.

The quality is of the best and the after sales service from Tento in Jet Park excellent.

From the Tentco, advertisment they supply the following stores ; Outdoor Warehouse, Camp and Climb, Kaap Agri, AGRA, Agri Land, after camping with a highking total hight of about 1,2 meters  nylon tent for about 20 years only caught out in flooding conditions 3 times, but due to age have now upgraded to a bow tent where the life partner and  I can stand up and change. What an improvement in camping experiances.

The bow tent with all the camping gear inside do not need to be pegged down.

Erection of bow tent (2,25m high) was problimatic, as we where doing it wrong

1) lay out tent

2) insert spring steel bow, (there still seems to be a argument of inside or outside hole on the ground sheet holding position, you decided best for you, we dont peg, so easy on out side hole)

3) open enteranche and tolt steel side ways untill it is managabil for you and clip in tent from top downwards, only two to three on each leg ,  step out side ,then erect tent as designed

Tent "sweat" easy and is fully dark on inside if fully all flaps closed, so you can sleep ate, relex you are camping

Hi

Sharing links to this same question I asked a few years back.  The replies back then really helped us decided which way to go.  Looks of great advice.

https://www.caravanparks.com/35.Caravan-Camping-Forums-Need-some-Advice-on-Tents-and-Trailers.htm?forumaction=1&loadcategory=1022&loadpost=250039242#ForumsAnchor

Also sharing our buying experience which was a little bit of a mission.

https://www.caravanparks.com/35.Caravan-Camping-Forums-Tentco-Adventure-in-Tent-Buying.htm?forumaction=1&loadcategory=1022&loadpost=250039352#ForumsAnchor

All this aside 5 years (almost) down the line that hard work checking and double checking paid off.  We have spent many weeks in those 3x3 Domes camping in everything from 46 degree heat waves in Kruger over December to Winter camping in -0 on the Vaal banks.  The tents are solid, never had so much as a rip/popped zip/clip come lose or tear.  I have 2 heavy on everything boys and hubby and I are big people too and our domes have endured.  We have had our air mattresses floating in the tents along with all our stuff when we got caught in a flood in Satara a few years back.  The water was just below my knee and the high protected sides of the dome stopped any water getting inside, this was not something we ever thought about when buying but people near us with the other brand of dome had lower protective sides and they were bucketing water out of their tent.  We were bone dry while watching the devastation around us as other people’s tents were literally flattened and torn apart by the wind and force of the water bearing down on them.  Our Tentco weathers a storm like water runs off a ducks back.    I wax the seams every 12 - 18 months or so and we make sure when we pack up we clean and wipe off all moisture/dust before putting them away.

The only negative's and they are small ones at that camping in the cold means condensation and a lot of it.  Their sides means they are perfect for making rivers that run down the walls and wet anything touching the sides.  You can't close up all windows and sleep as you will wake up wet.  No matter how cold it is you have to open a flap to allow the tent to breath.   But that happened with our Kavango too so maybe it's just a general camping thing.

Secondly, the canvas stains badly when hit with bird poop that is not immediately cleaned off.  We made the mistake of setting up under a berry tree in Kruger during a 3 week stay and every bird in Kruger (it felt like) pooped red/violet/pink poop on our dome cover.  I gave up trying to clean it there and figured I would sort it out at home but unfortunately it never came out, despite many attempts so we have a slightly pinkish cover for our tents.  It's not the end of the world.

All this said taking the time to inspect the tents before taking them home and making sure I was happy with the quality has really paid off.  I highly recommend Tentco 3x3 Senior Dome tents. In summer those huge windows allow for the most fantastic airflow that keeps you cool and in winter …..Well it’s still bloody freezing but a flap open up top and you will survive.   Great value for the price and I have no doubt I have many more camping adventures ahead in them.

Prys was R2999 vir n 3x3

Hello Geert,

Up to this point I hadn't even thought of selling the tent, why not have a look at it and if you like  make a reasonable offer.

I just don't get it right to put a picture here but I will try again.

Hi Geert,

The Tent is very similar to the one in this photograph  and is 3m x 3m, I am not sure of the height, but you have to reach up to switch on a lamp hanging in the middle
