Would love to know if this is a good resort for a December family holiday.
main road carrying lots of trucks passes right through the middle of the park - into the night as well. apart from that its very beautiful. december can be rather wet though.
I was there last week till Wednesday this week. (Stayed in the PH in Clarens.
Park and scenery awsome but I did not see one single truck !!.
I drove through the camping place which is opposite the road and the park office.
Looks clean and shady.
There are some picnic places between Clarens and the office in the park which charge a conservation fee of R 36,- p.p. per day (if you are Sa resident)--so, bring your wild card along.
The fee also applies, should you deviate from the main (through) road and drive the various loops etc.
Just park furthest away from the road. Little spade for rain water. Great area.
