Lood

Hi Lood,

Mc Nicols is a fantastic caravan park. If you have young children there is so much to do. Everything they say on their advert is true and even better. You are lucky to get in, there is always a long waiting list to get in, especially for Christmas. Their shop is well stocked and they also have a bottle store, separate games room for the teenagers. Ablutions spotless, and the staff are more than willing to help. The tea and scone at the pool in the morning are a real treat.

There is a lot of organised things for the children to do.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Regards MArg

Maybe we must make a plan and go camping on the KZN coast again.  The 1st time with our caravan was in 2000 at Dolphin and then we went to Natalia in 2008.  But every year we go down to the Cape.

We just can’t love the East coast.

Ditto to what Marg has said. Trully a great park and the kids will enjoy it. Allthough the shop is stocked well you will have to take a drive to get to a Spar, Shoprite or P&P.  During the seasonal holidays there are lifesavers on the beach. Just a reminder you will need to cross the rail way to get to the beach. If the kids are small it could be of a concern to you.

Years ago that was right out side the entrance to the park. Don't know if there is a bridge nowa days? May be someone can tell more.

Hi Leon, You still have to walk over the railway line, which is flat from the park to the beach, It is an easy walk. Unlike Villa Spar, where you have to climb up stairs over the rail way line, then go down the stairs on the other side to have to climb up over the dune, but Villa Spar's beach is much nicer. Pro's and cons. I would not let small children go to the beach on their own anyway. They do how ever have a farm truck (not sure what they call it) that they take everyone down the road to another beach. The kids love it. The memories are making me want to book in again. Regards MArg.

Die hoogtepunt van n vakansie by die suidkus is om na die Oribi Gorge naby Port Shepstone te gaan. Moet dit nie mis nie.
