We camped at Bluff Eco Park last week. The price was very reasonable.

The ablution blocks were great. Hot running water at all times, they have a scullery, toilets were clean throughout our stay. We used their older facilities due to our campsite being closer and was not disappointed. One toilet even had a bidet which I prefer.

The camp ground we chose was not level and the ground was not firm. However we were still able to level the caravan and enjoy the experience. The 240v power outlets were nearby, wheelie bins were provided and our campsite had been cleaned by maintenance workers.

The campsite is access controlled and felt relatively safe.

Fellow campers were friendly, no one caused a disturbance or irritation everything was peaceful.

Beware of the monkeys.😅 They stole my lunch tin with my snacks inside. I did not mind though. There's also an abundance of birdlife which can be heard in the background adding to ambiance...

Bluff Eco Park has alot of facilities; entertainment area, a large pool, shops and malls are within walking distance should you need to buy anything that was forgotten, there's even a flea market nearby. Treasure beach is about 3KMS away from the campsite.

We were assisted by Melissa who made our telephonic booking effortless and was very informative and friendly.

It was definitely worthwhile and real value for money without a doubt.

Kashvir, thanks for the info.  I looked at their website and only have one problem.  There are no braai facilities at the campsites OR do I read their info incorrectly.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. That is correct there are no braai facilities. After booking they had informed me via email to carry a portable braai.

Also camp fires must be contained and not made directly on the camp ground.

I see their monthly Pensioner rates are way over the top.

Pensioner Monthly Rate - At our sole discretion who may stay

monthly - Caravanning & Camping with own caravan/ tent & accessories Cost R2 200 per person. Own Water & Electricity via pre paid meter. Available only during Low & Mid Season at our sole discretion
ID documents must be produced to secure this rate.

Yes that price is steep. What`s the average monthly rate at other parks? Do they also incorporate prepaid meters?

I think their restrictions are understandable.  Most long term campers are good people who do not spoil the camping experience for other campers, but unfortunately you sometimes also get the exception.  Think about one of our members' experiences described here on another thread.  We, while on tour,  have also had a bad experience with some long term campers and we left the camp after a day because of that.  If such people are not kept out, every one, including the camp owner, looses out eventually.

I understand your point. Infact that's probably why the campsite was really peaceful. Bluff Eco Park is very accommodating but they also don't tolerate nuisances. I've seen other reviews of the park on Google. Alot of rif-raffs posting smack trying to bring the park down after being asked to leave.

Despite the hefty monthly rates as per BrianB, they were alot of long stay campers. I guess every park has its pros and cons. It all depends what benefits you at the end of the day.

Dit is goed om te weet. Ek het geen idee gehad dat die park al so lank bestaan nie.
