We are planning a tour down to the Addo Elephant Park. What we would appreciate is if anyone could assist us on when the best time of the year would be to go to those areas, now speaking about the climate, prefer no wind and no rain, or as little as possible of each.

Die weer was absoluut wonderlik. Saans was wonderlik stil.
In elk geval as jy Addo toe wil kom, KOM.

Just stayed there for 2 nights end of April and we had excellent weather, but my neighbour said that they had wind the previous night and they thought they were not going to survive.† That particular night I was in PE, and I nearly didn't survive the wind either.

Look it is the eastern cape, and for some reason it is a place with unpredictable weather.† You could any day suddenly find rain and wind.† The good thing about that is that you also can find any day with perfect sunshine and a lovely day.† I think it will always be a gamble.†
Some of my friends do the Amatola race in October every year, and they get cold and rain every year without exception.† I think that is just the way the eastern cape is.

We are regular visitors to the Eastern Cape, including Addo, usually during February and have mostly found the weather at Addo to be pretty hot during the day particularly on game drives, but have encountered very little wind or rain.

Enjoy your trip
