Hi all. I have just dropped the water tank to see what is going on there. I can see some wiring with connector block to the pump and than i suppose to the taps. The tank gaskets and piping looks old.

Can anyone shed some light on the wiring please. Does the wires from db first go to the pump and then from there to the taps? How does the pump activation work from the taps?

The wiring is fairly easy.  The positive and negative of power supply runs to the pump directly.  The Neg wire is connected to the the pump.  The positive wire is broken with micro switches in parallel.

So if you turn the tap, the micro switch in side the tap closes the circuit and actives the pump.  Like normal the more you open the tap the more water will flow.

There should be a fuse in the circuit as the positive wire comes from the  power supply.
