We have jurgens 2008 classique.  When we have filled the tank and switch off the tap after using the geyser drains back to the tank.  We have investigated all possible connections where it may be taking in air and come up  with nothing leaking or taking in air.

Any one able to assist why this might be happening?

Fit a non-return valve.

Or your non- return valve is faulty, ie dirty, and not blocking.

Is dit die eerste keer dat die geyser dit doen.

There is a small pipe with a ball on the inside just after the pump towards the geyser.  this is the non return valve in the water system.  It is important that this works correctly as the geyser may drain all the water back to the tank and run dry, which in turn could damage the element.

The non return valve could stop work due to a number of things.  One is dirt in the system and a other also common cause is that the pipe clamps around that little tube is to tight.

Fiddle with it and clean it.  This should resolve your problem.
