Load spreader pads

I would imagine to put under your steadies where the ground is soft, could also go under your jack when changing a wheel.
Perhaps I‘m mistaken though just a thought. Geert will surely tell us :)
Just found this on the Gibbons Group https://www.instagram.com/gibbongroup.sa/p/DA-KmiCODkl/
Attention, campers and caravan lovers! excited to introduce our Load Spreader Pads, designed to distribute weight and provide stability for your setup. Each set comes with four pads, and they can support up to 1500kg per pad. All of this for only R735!

Agree will never level the van with the steadies, however they could assist if your steadies dig into the ground when you lower them, But there are cheaper options that R 735 to prevent that from happening

My blokke pas alles in 'n gewone kussing sloop.

Groete,
Paul

I always used to put Blue Death around the steadies and the jockey wheel, tyres and waste water tank, now days I use Fendona. Diluted in a spray bottle works well for me.

The problem is that those points are not the only ones where the gogas can get into your caravan. The tent, its poles, ropes and if a branch touches your caravan all give a pathway for the gogas.
When we get home after a trip we use Doom Fogger in the caravan. Close it up for a day and no one goes in there. The floor and cupboads are littered with dead insects and heaps of dead ants.

Spray Fendona on those areas (tent, poles branches) no problem. Have not had any ant or gaga problems since using Fendona.
We basically all know that it is not a good thing to lift the caravan with the corner steadies. But you do want the caravan to stand fast when parked. Since we started caravanning I have found that when you set up caravan for week and longer that the corner steadies becomes loose with the movement of people inside the van, specially if the ground surface is loose sand like near the coast or next to a river. That's when I started to use the wooden blocks under the steadies. It just makes the footprint of the steady a bit bigger to assist with stability while camping.
We also use blue death for ants.

Even with the blocks during an extended stay the steadies have to be tensioned quite a few times to maintain stability. The blocks do help to reduce the sinking. For me the main purpose of the blocks are to decrease the distance to the ground thus reducing the stress on the half sissor corner steady.

I believe you when you say that the corner steadies have to be re-set a few times during long stay.
Currently my perspective of long stay is 2 or 3 weeks holiday during April or December. But give time ......... with the Lords Blessing I will get to the long camping thing.

Lekker Leon. Jou dag sal kom.
Maizey's is definitief goedkooper.

Paul
