Die karavaan wat ons gekoop het, het 'n paar plakkers agter op die wa gehad.  Wel ons is nie heeltemal gekant teen stickers nie maar die wat op was het nou nie in ons smaak geval nie.  Jy kan dit mos afhaal! ! ! !

Ons het toe maar die plakkers verwyder. Ongelukkig was dit alreeds vir baie lank op en dis duidelik dat die wa op 'n tyd lank in die son gestaan het.

Daar is nou sulke donker skadus in die veselglas in gebrand, in die form van die ou plakkers.

Het iemand enige raad om dit te verwyder.  Ek het nou al ge-thinners, gevryf, ge-poleer gewatookal, maar dit wil nie af nie.

Hoop julle het 'n plan met die een want ek is raadop.

Op hierdie foto as jy mooi kyk sal mens die donker geel imprint in die veselglas kan sien.

You can try Burnishing cream bought at Midas , it is a bit more aggressive than Handy Andy or toothpaste , I use it on my fiberglass jacuzzi to remove stubborn stains  it also leaves a smooth finish , the use it to buff cars after a respray.

Thanx Andrew. I saw that stuff at MIDAS but do not know how to use it.  Is it a basic apply and rub principle.  What is the chances of me damaging the fibreglass if I do it wrong?

It won`t do any damage , it is applied the same as car polish a small patch at a time , the only issue you might have is it will leave a shiny patch and you will have to do the whole panel to match up, I have even used it to polish the headlights on my car when the plastic goes yellow due to sun damage.

If it works well on a small patch you can buy one of those sponge polishing kits and use it with a cordless drill for the larger area, don`t use a grinder with buffing pads as it`s too fast and will burn the fiberglass.

I use a Luxor L100 polishing compound on an electric polishing machine fitted with a buffing pad turning @ 1500 rpm, then a hand polish with a good wax.

I am going to try everything mentioned here so far.  Will have to do some traveling work related, but when I get back i will start.

Last resort is a big sticker over everything...............😂

Okay here are some good news.  Got some polish from my daughter and used it on the caravan to see if it will remove the yellow stains cause by the sun and the stickers.

Bingo! ! ! ! ! !

Only done it once and the yellow parts are gone. You must look at it just with the correct angle to see where the darn stickers was.  I trust that a second polish will remove even that.

So its back to my own caravan again.  Busy with this polishing and replacing the vents.

On the latest photo from the rear you will see that most of the sticker yellow marks are gone.  Some more polishing will remove everything.

Just a wonder what maintenance can do...................! ! ! !

Ek sal die Benzine onthou vir iemand volgende keer. Dankie Danie.

Nou nie heeltemaal wat Leon hier van praat nie maar dit sit in n’ woonwa.

Moontelik voorkom dit n’ katestrofie.

Ek het dit ook in my neuskas gehad. Stok oud en verrimpeld. 

Ek glo darem nie dit sal n groot issue veroorsaak nie.  Die Unit in die nosecone maak gebruik van omgewings lug/temperatuur om die unit af te koel.  Dit het 'n ingeboude meganiek wat die aircon gedeelte sal trip en dan loop die unit nog maar die aircon gedeelte werk nie meer nie.

So die unit moet eers afkoel voordat die aircon gedeelte weer sal intree.  Want dis die aircon gedeelte wat die hitte veroorsaak.  So as die nosecone toe is sal die aircon net vir kort rukkie koud maak en daarna net warm lug blaas.

Dis een van die hoof redes waarom die silver airducting aan die voorkant van die unit gesit word.  Dit verseker dat die warm lug wat uitgeblaas word nie terug in die nosecone in sirkuleer nie.  

Terloops as iemand iewers erens 1m van die silver ducting het, benodig 'n stuk vir my wa se Aircon.  Ek gaan nie 10m koop en net 1m gebruik nie.

Leon i am using an old laundry bag, the type that has a wire in it and folds flat (ish). My silver ducting didn't last too long.

I could do with one of those stickers....

I was told by an aircon technitian that running the aircon with the nose cone closed until it kicks out will damage the starting capacitor.

I am sticking this sticker next to the switch where i switch on the 220v aircon supply.
