Tar road all the way in. Choice of sites with a view ie river bank sites or sites without a view, behind those. We chose a site without a view under 4 huge trees bus a bit sandy as a result, but it was only for two nights and we wanted the coolness. Temps were 34 degrees when we arrived. All the other sites were grassed and all were level. Electrical points were all close by how ever water points were far apart and we had to carry water in out container to add to our tank. Braais at each site as well as dustbins. Ablutions were not the greatest only two showers in our ablution two toilets and one urinal. Ladies side also only has two showers this is for some 70 odd campsites ? Good disabled ablution facilities.

Campsite on the whole is lovey and relaxing we’re there out of season so it was nice and quiet. Lots of hiking trails and bird life is excellent. Canoes for hire to row up and down the river. Prices well what can one expect it's SanParks LOL

The second Ebb and Flow campsite further up the river is better in my opinion. Less crowded and more sites along side the river with good grass and i found the ablutions quite good. There was a kitchen with gas stoves, a hydroboil and if i remember correct a freezer. Would definately go back there

Strange....Sanparks is normally well priced over December. I had a booking for 3weeks over peak period at Storms River past December that my brother used at the end....they paid R450 for 3x adults s night...over xmas / new year

Ebb & Flow is one of our favourites too. There are indeed two campsites - South & North. We give preference to the South camp.

Referring to Brian's comments on the ablutions - there are three different ablution blocks in the South camp and one in the North camp. I take it that he refers to the newer ablution facility in the South camp. Not far from the newer facility is a nice big ablution block.

Enjoy.   Please note as this may still apply.    We did the Ebb&Flow in March 2018 and were then strongly advised to avoid the walks and hikes unless we were part of a larger group.   This was to discourage criminals from attacking singles or couples on the routes that was a problem then.
