We are 4x caravans that would like to camp somewhere along the Natal Coast during the December Holiday.

We all know that the rates are really high during the Festive season.

Does anybody know of a resort on the coast that has more affordable rates?  Need not be on the beach but at least within 1-2 km away.

Due to company policy all of us can only go on leave during December but then the rates are so high we end up staying at home and lose the opportunity to camp.

Hope there is a resort out there somewhere that can accommodate us.

Try Ilanga (Banana Beach)close to Port Shepstone.  

Lovely clean, well maintained and secure park as we used to trek down every year just after Easter for our 4/5 month flee from the cold here in GP.

Have not been there for a few years  though  so perhaps other members could comment?

Oasis Karavaan park - Uvongo.

Uvongo Karavaan park.

Mc Nicols - Naby Park Rynie.

Bananna Beach - Naby Hiberdene.

Ek voorspel dat Oasis die goedkoopste sal wees in tarief gevolg deur Uvongo karavaan park en dan Bananna Beach

Mc Nichols is effe duurder, maar die moeite werd.

Wees net baie versigtig vir inkopies in Port Shepstone.

Daar is horde "Rampokkers".

Pennington is ook n oplossing en is naby Park Rynie en Scotties.

Caravan Cove - Park Rynie is ook n opsie en naby Park Rynie "Mall" en is ook naby Scotties. 

Leon jy kan Fairhills in Ramsgate ook probeer.

Hulle beskik oor 'n boorgat en dus sal daar nie probleme met water wees nie.

Ons was afgelope Desember by Oasis in Uvongo. Ons het lekker daar gekampeer, maar is bietjie knap vir jou Exclusive. Ons het gaan swem by Uvongo, Manaba (Lucian Beach) en Ramsgate. Rsmsgate was vir ons die lekkerste, maar parkering ietwat van n probleem. Die ander 2 okay.

Port o call in Trafalgar langs Sanlameer is lekker rustig. Oord us op strand. Jy kan lekker strand gebruik oor Kersfees en Nuwe Jaar. Ons het  nuwe jaarsdag op strand gesit....net oord mense., 1x local gesien maar na 5 minute geloop omdat ek dink hy het uit gevoel. Ons het R800 per nag vir ons 2 betaal

Ek het daarin gedink dat Oasis se staanplekke te klein sal wees vir n Exclusive, maar ek dink oorkant die pad nader aan die strand: Uvongo Karavaan Park behoort enige karavaan te akkommodeer.

Ons het Karridene ook baie geniet....reg langsaan ATKV Natalia....lekker groot gras staanplekke. R400 per persoon oor Desember. Ongelukkig skaduwee tans minder omdat hul groot bome verwyder het. Nice ruim ablusies

Ek sit in dieselfde boodjie....het nie meer kinders wat saamgaan nie, maar Desember is maar n "moet ". Ek het geloer na Port Edward wat ook nice lyk, maar klink of locals strand kan onplesierig maak. Ski het al by Leisure Bay gekampeer wat ook nice lyk. Op die ou einde is n oord wat stap afstand strand toe is die mees ideaalste...nie baie lekker om parkering oor n Desember op strand te soek nie. 

Pepperpots, langs Sportwenie is ook n opsie en die naaste groot inkopie sentrum is ongelukkig - Port Shepstone.

Ek kan ongelukkig nie gehalte verskaf aan Pepperpots se karavaan park nie omrede ons op stadium gebruik gemaak van n Chalet.

Die strand is redelik ver, maar loop afstand.

Geheel is Pepperpots baie netjies.

Die oord beskik:-

- Swembad buite restautant.

- Kroeg met Reataurant.

- Nodige besonderhede is n loop afstand na "Community Sentrum"

Nou Ge-Google.

Dit wil voorkom dat nog n oord toegemaak het.

Leon have a look at Lalanathi near Port Shepstone we spent a few days there in Jan 2015  lovely caravan Park and well run by Charlotte and Barry. Direct access to the beach.

Hi Brian...is daar n swemstrand binne loop afstand vanaf die oord?

Geert, it was 10 years ago and we were on our way down to the Cape and it was convenient as we were having the car aircon repaired in Port Shepstone so we only stayed for 4 nights to be honest I cannot remember if there was a swimming beach there as we never went swimming. (: 

However I do see that Melvile Beach is close by certainly within walking distance. Perhaps best to confirm with Charlotte or Barry directly.

Ek het ook na Fairhills in Ramsgate en Paradise in Southbroom geloer...beide lyk vir my na aangename oorde, maar is vir my te ver vanaf die strand
