Shocking, isn't it ??  For South Africa there are too many manufacturers and importers (let us hope we won't see caravans out of China with walls of rice paper !!!)

We simply do not have the economy of scale for so many manufacturers and everyone needs to make a profit.!!! No, it is  not going to work...

Sad that Campmaster and Challenger trailers closed. I thought Campmaster was Chinese so how come SA manufacturer using their name for trailers?

Haven't got a clue how that works.  Maybe just a name put on a trailer under license.

The Chinese involvement goes much deeper than just straight forward products.

Keep in mind the large international companies like Philips, Russel Hobbs, General Electric, Sunbeam and many many others who sell their products and when you look closely you see that the Russel Hobbs electric knife might have been manufactured in China. You buy a R 10.000,- tent from OZTRAIL (Australian Company) and you find that your tent was  actually manufactured in China. You will have great difficulty to find any product which  really is manufactured in Europe, USA or even Japan (Exeption are maybe the O.E.M 's (VW,Merc, Nissan, Toyota, Ford etc etc).

The scary thing is that even DEFY appliances are manufactured in China....

That is one reason I agree totally with D.Trump to stop the Chinese  trade agressions and dumping  policies. We are even more vulnerable because our  "Freedom Fighter Government" seems to support the Chinese  (mal)practices around every corner and that it will be nigh impossible to build up a decent South African Manufacturing Industry because such an Industry will not survive from SA sales alone , however the other African markets are already saturated with cheap Chinese goodies !!!!!  What to do ????? Try to avoid Chinese goodies if you can and can afford !!!

My Challenger sleepwa was 'n beter koop as 'n Venter in 2009.

That's unfortunately todays market... And very few people understand the consequences

Customer service.

Verkope diens.

Swak diens, swak verkope.
