Het julle al kampeer planne vir Desember?

We have just moved into Galado private bush lodge, about 20kms west of Bela Bela .
A small camping ground in the bush with private ablutions, will be here for the next 3 months.

Not going anywhere until 2 Jan. will be at Dube for a few nights then back home to prepare and leave end Jan for the start of a seven month tour ending in September at Eiland.

 

George what are their rates? looking forward the hearing your review of the resort and hopefully some pictures if you can.

Ons oorweeg om eers vroeg Januarie Dolphin toe te gaan. As ons oor Desember weggaan, sal dit op die ingewing van die oomblik besluit wees. Sal maar media dophou....miskien kom daar kanselasie in wat ons sal oorneem

Hi Brian, Galado has only 4 sites with private ablutions nicely spaced apart , very private. the rates for the private sites are R2600.00 plus power per month, we loaded R400.00 power and at the rate we are using it it will easily last us a month and a bit.

Then they have 4 sites a little further along that are quite big and they share a communal ablution block and they are R2300.00 per month plus power, all sites have a meter. There is a heated pool , when I say heated its just to a temp that takes the chill out on a hot day of which we have had only 1 day of so far, it is the rainy season........

Its a very quite place which suits us just fine, they have assorted buck that roam around and they come for bread late afternoon most days, squirrels and bush baby's are the norm aswell.

 Its owner run and they are very helpful , both husband and wife. As soon as the weather lets up I will take pictures and will post.

We stay at home this time of the year as the weather does not play well...  Daughter is Married and out of the house so we can choose when we want to go.

I was shocked when I realized that some of the resorts charge because its December, I contacted a place just outside Brits this weekend, standard site, communal ablutions... R2850 for 3 nights... No ways that I am paying that amount of money.

Daai is verskriklik, ek hou maar van die buite seisoen tariewe, kamp bv by Caravan Cove volg jaar, 30 dae met my 2 honde.. R8250 na die prys verhoging.

Meer bekostigbaar vir mense soos ek. 😬

Op Saterdag 13 Des 2025 gaan die Coetzee's vir die eerste keer in 'n lang tyd weer vakansie hou.

Ons eind bestemming is Umtweni Lagoon Resort op die Natalse Suidkus. Maar ons ry rustig en gaan eers van die 13de tot die 16de oorstaan by Queensburgh Resort in Howick.  Hier sluit my dogter hulle by ons aan vir een nag en die 17de ry ons saam tot by Umtentweni.  Daar bly ons tot 29ste.

Beplan om oppad terug by Mountain Splendour 'n draai te maak vir 'n dag of wat.

I must point out that Tweni Lagoon Resort charge us R6450 for a total of 12 nights excluding electricity.  They work on prepaid for each stand.

I think this is great rates compared to other resorts on the Natal coast during December holidays

As usual we will head home when the schools close round about 10 Dec.

Too expensive and busy over December.

Our daughter and aangetroude family from Cape Town are visiting us in Kruger for this week. First time for the granddaughter (19mths) in Kruger. Loving it.

Dis moeilik vir ons in die Kaap om in Desember pad te vat na enige plek IN die Kaap, did gewoonlik oorvol. Ons bly maar tuis. Soggend vroeg (anders kry jy nie parkeerplek nie) Body Board ons tot so 09:00 en dan huistoe terwyl die strand stok-vol-gat-vol gepak word vanuit Kayailitsha en soortgelyk. Geen plek vir ons tussen al die papiere, bottels en ander gemors nie.

April na Holland ..... kinders skuier.

Mei tot mid Junie weer na die Wille Kruger.

Nog net 5 slapies dan is ons oppad.  Ons vertrek kommende Sa oggend vroeg vroeg terwyl dit donker is.  Behoort die oop pad N3 na Heidelberg te slaan as dit net net lig begin word.

'n Maat van my gaan by Tugela mond Caravan Resort kamp so ons ry saam tot naby waar die pad split by Pinetown N2 North en N2 South.

Moet net die Weber vanaand skoonmaak dat hy kan saam gaan.

Woensdag middag was ek die wa en sit hom terug op sy wiele.  Ma is by die huis so sy pak die kos en klere rustig deur die dag.

Ai dit gaan geseende tye wees.

Môre begin ek met voorbereiding----kruiwa se wiel moet geghries word, tuinvurk se tande geslyp word. O ja, die grassnyer is klaar gediens.😄 

Die wat met jan tuisbly se karretjie gaan ry maak seker dat julle tenminste eenkeer 'n dag braai.

Dan die wat beplan om by die huis te werk........... wil ek net sê daar is 'n hele jaar wat voorlê vir dit wat jy wil doen by die huis. LOS DIT VIR DAN! ! ! !

Die wat wil tuin maak.......... daar is tuin arbeiders wat dit kan doen.

Die wat land uit travel......... maak seker dis na 'n plek toe waar dit 'n major change is soos sneeu, spier wit berge en 'n totaal ander atmosveer as hier in SA.

Gaan groot en gaan vir goud
