Busy repairing a cupboard unit in the Exclusive and i cannot find 12mm thickness wood anywhere at the moment .

Need 2 x pieces 12mm thick, 60mm wide and 1910mm long. would anyone know any outlet......... I can cut to size [ not the thickness ] though.

Hi, look at Supawood, comes in boards of that thickness

Quickfit Cubboards in PTA North.  That is if they still exist.

If it is chipboard it comes in 13mm & 16mm shelving and 32mm counter tops. Builders WH or Chamberlains.

12mm Pine shelving from P & S Timbers or Pretoria Board or Timber City or Carrims.

At BuCo. But it is a sheet of 2.7x1.8x 12mm.

Depends where it would be used. Superwood is not strong enough for structural work and is absolutely sensitive to water.

The cupboards and shelving in the Exclusive are Supawood MDF with some small shelves 5mm ply wood.

This makes sense as it is not structure and also not in areas where water is likely to enter. Superwood absorbes any liquid readily and if it is water start disintegrating much faster than even pine so the frame of a caravan for instance cannot be superwood. 

What I have found superwood perfect for, is as firelighters after being soaken in paraffin. I use cut off pieces if I can find such. 

I use a gas fire stick.

A sheet or board of Supawood MDF is what should be sutable for you repair George. You will have to cut it up to size or the hardware can cut it for you.
