Overnight Mountainview
So we overnighting at Mountainview (one-stop Bergville).
Where you of to next.......
two roads diverged in a wood and i took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.
Geniet dit Brian. Braai julle, of gaan julle Spur?
WAARSKUWING:
Kampeer is aansteeklik en verslawend ðŸËÂ

Will be attending to some building works for the next few weeks/ months then I would love to get into a reserve somewhere, I need to see some wildlife. :)
Lekker koud hier buite, te minste warm in die wa
We spending at least another night here, had some car issues on the way up and have to wait until Tomorrow for Nissan to open. Lot of vibration coming off the front axle/wheels when I put the engine under load. I'm thinking CV's or driveshafts or possibly engine mountings coming loose causing the vibration. Was getting worse as we approached Harrismith so didn't want to take the chance pushing on to Pta.
Hold thumbs there is a quick solution and I don't have to rob a bank to pay for it :)

There is some wear & tear on the tie rod ends as well but will replace them in Pta
Sterkte daar Brian

Universal joints replaced all vibrations gone, we ready to rock & roll tomorrow. And I did not have to rob the bank, had great service from Morgan Nissan, Harrismith.?
Baie bly dat alles goed verloop het en dat jy nie nodig gehad het om die bank te beroof nie.
Veilig ry môre.

That Pathy of yours is a real work horse. How many kilos on the clock Brian?
I think there is someone else here that also swears by his Pathfinder to tow.
The Happy Campers.

Yes, Len Loader from Brackenfell on his 2nd Pathfinder and he is currently towing an Exclusive for many years already.
Sê dankie vir wat jy in die lewe het.

Hendrik, yes lots of kilos she now has 178000 on the clock. Pulls like the day I bought her 450Nm.
Can you recommend it ?
Never too old to have a happy childhood
The Pathy ? yes. Bought it with 20 odd thousand on the clock. She has served us well and pulled our van all over the country, first tour took us 2.5 years to do. The back seats fold completely flat giving you a huge amount of packing space which is very handy for the crates we take with us, our tent and other equipment usually also goes in the back. We have had her for 12.5 years now and she still pulls very well. Hoping she will continue to do so until we retire the van and stop touring the country.
As vehicles age and depending on how you look after them (service etc) you should get good milage out of them. However I‘m sure you will find people who have troubles with any make of vehicle. We have had odd niggles with her ( recently had the CAT removed and deleted from the mapping) but overall considering how much work she has done if they still made them I would buy another tomorrow, if I could afford it :)
Sorry - I meant the camp site .

Yes as an overnight stop. No issues but you can also consider Riverview Country Inn, Geert is possibly going to try it soon and will surely give us some feedback as usual.

Many thanks

We also stop over at Mountainview on our way to Dolphin at Ballito.
Ablutions are OK, site is well fenced off and I never heard that any camper lost anything there due to thefts.
Lots of places to eat, walking from the park, so no dishes and cooking for the sleepover night.
