My volgende vraag is rakende oorslaap plekke/dorpe op bg. roete:

Gedagte was om:

We are currently sleeping over in Bloom at River of joy. Last time we slept over at Reyneke Park the N8 to Kimberley was very noisy and then to crown it truck drivers who also stayed over in the park started their trucks up  @ 05h00 to build up air pressure. Decided then I would never return. You can see the trucks in the background at Reyneke Park the other pic is at River of joy.

However the ablutions were better at Reynecke Park than here at River of Joy.

could have been a once off Brian for the noisy truckers , I have often encountered convoys of new trucks driving up from PE or EL t JHB   but Reynecke Park is well suited to your needs

We stayed over at Reyneke Park on two occasions. The first time was quite a number of years ago. We were very chuffed up with the use of a private bathroom. But there was some or other event in Bloemfontein over the weekend, leading quite a large number of caravanners using Reyneke Park. We were not informed beforehand that the "private ablutions" are to be shared in such cases. We then decided it a future no-no.

Many years passed and we decided to give Reyneke Park a go again. In the meantime an animal feeds factory opened right across Reyneke Park, on the opposite side of the N8. Dust extracting cyclones ran right through the night with a terrible noise. I lowered my caravan's pop-top to try and block the screaming noise of the cyclones, in order to sleep. I then decided that Reyneke Park will not see me again.

In the meantime I heard that the noise of the factory has been addressed as numerous people living nearby complained about it.

Will I try Reyneke Park again, after two two negative incidents? I doubt it - but the saying is never say "fountain, from you I'll never drink again".
