Good morning to you all,
Those of you have been to this park, what range of stands will be the best to set up on. I know we cannot be completely protected from the wind, but at least want to aim for a pleasant months stay. we will arrive the 1st February.
Stanley there are plenty of stands to choose from that pretty well protected from the wind. We were on 45 A @ B. Some stands were closed off to maintenance before we left. Staff will be able to advise you on arrival. Enjoy your stay there.
Just avoid standing under any of the wild plumb trees.
brain, how does the river camp look.
George the river camp is a lot more rustic than the rest of the camp. There is not much protection from wind blowing up or down the river. Stands are level and grassed there is also a launch pad for boats.
Ablutions are open air but I cannot tell you what their condition is like as the day went down to look is was raining. The last section of road to the river camp is diet and was also not in very good condition due to the rains but I sure they will repair it. Having said that a long term couple with an exclusive moved into the stand next to us two days befor we left and had moved from the river camp up to the top. They dad to wash everything before re-erecting their tent due to the mud on them. They said they would not camp down there again. So they got through the road ok.
George if it’s boating facilities you are after the I would first have a look at Areena just next door to Yellow Sands.
perhaps start a new thread on Areena and have someone who has been there give some feedback. I think they would have better boating facilities. I actually never saw any power boats on the lagoon at all not that but we spent all our time at the beach and very little on the lagoon.
Thanks very much chaps
