hey guys, so we own property in bapsfontein, lots of open land going to waste, would anyone consider bringing your caravan and renting a peace of land?

what would someone be willing to pay for something like this? 1.5k/ 2k per month with electricity?

and what are the musts with somthing like this, what all do i need to take into consideration?

contact me or even whatsapp me:

Duncan.

Duncan, you are going to create an informal settlement.  I am not saying this is bad, but consider the consequence before you jump in.  You might not be able to ever close it down again.  The people interested would not be able to pay the amounts you speak of and you probably will not be able to enforce it anyway once people start streaming in.

I would start a resort on that land and then slowly take it further ..................

thank you so much for the relavant answers, i how ever not using this as a sole income, but more for the idea of helping the community, i mean i would rather get people in who i know would most likley be paying, other than the government pull in and see unused land and set up shacks, as this was metioned in our community meeting about two months ago

Duncan, Do skip the "SIR"" We are on a first name basis here.

I don't really want to make any suggestions as I am no expert.  I merely mentioned my concernes.  What I can suggest however, is that you see the necessary experts to advise you on the way forward.  I would guess there will be many health and other regulations you will have to comply with and you should know wta you are budgeting for before you commit.  Do let us know how you progress.

There was a caravan park called Fairwinds along High Road in Benoni, if I remember correctly.
They may still be going. They had quite a few permanents.
Maybe check them out & get a feeling for your idea.
