we are going to buy a caravan soon, and want to go camping my husband is a pensioner, what garden route caravan parks give the best pensioner rates for a month and longer?
Do some places allow a small dog?
Best to ask parks re. small dogs when booking. Many do allow small dogs especially during off-peak times, some may charge a small fee but all expect the owner to clean up after his pooch and keep him/her on a leash. Oh...and welcome!
Die Punt at Mosselbaai will give you a good long term deal and it is quite popular and pleasant. I rather doubt they allow dogs, but do ask them if you are interested. There is also a website for this purpose (https://www.petfriendly.co.za/) We had a small dog up to about two years ago and I accepted that I needed to make sure beforehand where she was welcome. You cannot just take the road, as we do now, and hope for the best. I am sure other members will add to the list.
You are venturing on something that is sure to change your lives for the better- enjoy it! Perhaps start out with a few short stays of no more than a week to sort of ease into it.
Glentana karavaanpark se maand tariewe is billik en troeteldiere word buite seisoen toegelaat

Louise, welcome to the forum
Good pensioner rates and dog friendly: Glentana, between Mossel Bay and George. Also Lake Pleasant at Sedgefield. Recommend both.
Google and enjoy!
