It is better to travel from White River to Hazyview and then if you are staying at Pretoriuskop, go from Hazyview to Numbi. This is shorter with less speed bumps and it is a double lane most of the way.  From White River to Numbi on the R538 is not great and very narrow with lots of traffic.  Also check with local tourism organisations before travelling as there are often protests around Numbi and the roads can be closed.  Watch out for speed bumps from both White River and Hazyview to Numbi as they are not always painted or may be made out of sand.

I personally would not take any of those  roads  heard to many stories of protest potholes and stone throwing,I would go in at Phabeni thats my opinion.

Thank you all

We will maybe use Phabeni Gate then, we cannot use Kruger gate due to protests.

Ek ry eerder Na Malelaan en gaan daar in. Protes of te nie. Net n pap wiel is nodig om jou in moontlike gevaar te sit.

The protests on the White River Numbi road are particularly bad at the moment. Also the sand speed bumps are often too high for a normal sedan to get over without scraping. It can be quite scary going that slow over a speed bump  in a dangerous area. Recently on one of the other roads in the same area at a speed bump, thieves ran next to the car behind mine and tried to steal the bicycles strapped on top of his trailer. Fortunately they couldn’t get them loose in time and the driver behind hooted and they ran off. All in all be vigilant in this whole area. The Malalane road is safer but budget for the hefty toll fee just before Malalane.

Malelane safest route with good roads.

Depending on where you need to be. From Malelanre to Pretoriuskop not such a long trek, unless you stop at each animal sighting.

Fortunately that sink plaat road from Malalane to P.kop is not known for plenty of animals.

Corrugations are terrible. If you're towing, rather do more km and go on the tar.

If you are towing stick to the tar roads. Most gravel roads do not allow caravans. The distance to Pretoriuskop from either Malelane or Phabeni on tar is much the the same.

If you are not towing then the shortest route is from Phabeni on the S3 gravel road.

You drive on the Malelane Skukuza tarred road untill you get to the T junction where this road joins the Pretoriuskop Skukuza road. Turn left and drive safely on tar to Pretoriuskop.

Good chance of lion and cheetah on this portion of the road to Pretoriuskop.

Entering at Malelane, you miss all the community hotspots.

Wel R36.

Hierdie pad is nie 'n probleem nie. R36
