I am eyeing the 37CM weber skottel braai ( Smokey Joe) , the main attraction is the size and portability. How “practical “ is it for two people.?

I do have the 57cm weber, but it is bulky to travel with.

Any feedback?

I have a Smokey Joe for just the two of us and used it regularly while touring, although most  but not all sites have break facilities. I used to just stand the Smokey Joe on the site  braai as is has no legs. Been a while since I used it last embarassed

Smokey Joe is small enough to take with, in it's box it fits under the bed.

I use nothing else than my Smokey Joe. When I needed to replace my first one (after many years of use), I decided to buy two - one for the house (which I use in my "binne-braai" and one for the caravan. I'll be using mine again tonight in Maroela in Kruger. I've braaid in places and under circumstances where nobody else could braai. My Smokey Joe is one of two things that I never want to camp without. The other item is my Porta Potti.

WAARSKUWING:

Gebruik myne vir gewone braai by die huis. Het nie 'n ander braai nie. Bly in 'n meenthuis.

Weber Go anywhere is a great little braai and the legs fold up to secure the lid and the space inside is great for storage of utensils, fire lighters and enough brickets for one or two braais, we have had ours for about 15 years and its still going strong.

I think mine is also about 15 years old...mine has got the wooden handles. R999 is a bargain

which one is better between Smokey joe and this go anywhere? Is the shape the only difference between the two?

I don't know....but I think on the end the results is all the same. The "Go anywhere" might be a bit more compact. I do the same as Brian {Badger} does......fill it with charcoal and fire lighters....the legs folds around the lid and you carry it via the lid handle. If you want to do a direct above the coal braai...it is very hot as the coals are very near to the braai grid....not recommended for items that needs "slow" braaiing
