hi all, again on my recently aquired exclusive which im still learning everthing about, the toilet casset , where you open the door to pull the casset out , there is a small battery pack tucked in the side wall next to the casset, it holds 2 penlight batterys and the wires are strapped to a clear pipe which all appears to go up to the flush side of the toilet, inside the caravan next to the flush handle is a small indicater\gauge , would i be correct in assuming the batterys are connected to the indicater \ gauge would there be a light there ? how does the system work, that indicater\gauge is so small i can barely see it, what do the batterys power.
thanks
george

Hi George.

The light is activated when the casset needs to be emptied. Test that the batteries are OK before leaving on your trip using a tester. Alternatively pour water in the casset through the toilet till the light illuminates. Then you are sure the system works.

That is correct. Those batteries are connected to the little light. If your caravan is secondhand I would do as Hendrik has suggested. Make sure the batteries are new and fill the waste tank with water to see if everything works well.

Out of experience, one thing to remmeber is that when that light comes on DO NOT USE THE TOILET EVEN ONCE BEFORE EMTYING THE TANK.

It is basically the difference between getting your hands dirty or not.

Thank you for this tip.

The ladies are actualy the big culprits here.

Light is on .......................... "ag it won't overflow with just a bit extra" ................ then you already have trouble.

When they report the light is on...................... go and empty it asap.  Next time she reports the toilet light is on she already has used it again since the previous report.

TROUBLE
