Does anyone know if a caravan mover can be fitted to a Sprite Sport 1979.

Yes it bolts to the chassis and be fitted to any caravan you may olny have to modify the clamping brackets depending on the make of mover you buy.
Thanking you for the reply. I contacted ewiks and sent them a video of the chassis. The reply was that the caravan model is too old and the geometry does nor allow for the space. When we were away last year we saw a mover on a caravan just like ours but at the time did not think to check the model. Can anyone give us any suggestions. We do not want to change the caravan as it has been modefied to suit us and also we want to carry on camping for as long as possible. The years are creeping up
I thing your biggest problem is to get someone to fit it for you and not if it would fit.
As mentioned your Van probably needs an ekstra plate of some sort to mount the mover. just one person with a bit of inovation capabilities and you will be sorted.
IS there anyone in Durban that has a Ewiks mover so that Neill can measure it. If it can fit Neill is very hand and he can have a special bracket made and fit it.
Marg, my suggestion is the following :-
When the Motor Glider Mover was fitted to my 2000 model Jurgens Penta two L plates was welded to the chassis of the Penta to accomodate the mover. The modification was as simple as that for the Penta.
I removed that Mover from the Penta and installed it on a Jurgens Classique without any modification on the Classique.
Big thing is you must go and have a look at the way the mover is fitted to a Van. Compare it to the chassis of your Van and make a plan. The only thing to remember is that the rollers must be a certain distance from the wheel when not engaged and it is feasable that the full lenght of the roller runs on the traveling surface of the wheel.
My Swing have a Ewiks and you are welcome to measure. 0828982939. I am in Umgenipark Durban.
Look under Products - Caravan Accesories then page down further. There you will find various Mover brackets that you can use to fit a mover to your van.
Morning, Thanks for your replys, and offering for us to measure the mover. I have made a record of both your details. Neill says that time is running out so he thinks we will only do the fittment in the new year as he has suddenly got so busy. (Panic time before the shut down period) We live in Montclair which is not far from the bluff, so he will try to take a gap and go to Bluff Eco park.
Hi Clive Joyce we are back from our holiday. We would like to see your caravan mover at Bluff eco park. Would it be possible to make arrangements to see it.
Regards Marg & Neill
Thanks Jan, Neil has just gone out for a short while, he will call you when he gets back to make arrangements, if possible for tomorrow.
Thanks Jan for letting Neill see the fittings for the Mover. He will look next week to see if it is possible to fit on our Sprite Sport.
Morning Clive, Thankyou for your reply. I have emailed you/

Just a follow up
Our Sprite Sport has a trailing arm coil suspension. The caravan we have looked at have a suspension with leaf springs. We have still not worked out how to fit the mover. Price wise we were hoping to fit an Ewik Mover.
Don't see that as a problem as the wheel will not move up-down when you use the mover.
Just get the mover wheel inline with the caravan wheel.
I contacted Purple line they said the fitting must be done in Pretoria workshop. They said they have not come accross a caravan that they have not fitted one to., the most difficult was a 1972 Jurgen with 13" wheels. Reason it has to go to Pretoria is because the development of the modification takes longer.
We are situated in KZN.
