Hi All. Does anyone have opinions/comments on the Ewiks caravan movers? I am considering buying them, and was wondering if people who have used these movers have comments? Thanks!

Hallo Warren, it is worthwhile to install. All the other makes are much more expensive.

I would recommend Ewiks movers as I have them installed on my previous van and again on my new van.

Thank you everyone for your comments and input. I asked about the Ewiks, because they are considerably cheaper than the overseas makes - maybe some of you guys should consider them. Thanks!

Hannes my meevallertjie het toe gekom. Is dit by julle ook so of is ek sommer net plein suinig?

Gaan bestel hom dadelik !

So, as dit gaan oor "nice to have" sou ek sê nee....maar as dit jou lewe gaan vergemaklik, is dit n "must have"

Marco if my information is correct , then the movers alone are R10500.00 without installation and battery and charger. With installation and battery and charger you look at R14100.00.
A lot of money for a pensioner, but far cheaper than the imported ones.

Dis waar.

My opinie is mens moet lewe ook.

Sonder Jesus is ek niks! ! ! !

I agree with Wegisons, I also have one fitted on my Romany and what a help it has been scince having it fitted. I can definitly advise you to have one fitted.

I had my Ewiks fitted by Willie from Centurion in 2014, I unfortunately do not have his contact details any more,. but I am sure there will be someone here who could supply his details for you.

Ek gaan DV volgende naweek Gauteng toe na my kinders in Randfontein.

Hi Pierre
I have a 45A deep cycle in my Penta with my Ewiks fitted. A C tek for you will be excellent as it monitors the battery which I use at home for mine. The size will depend on how much you will drive the van on site or home. Fitting I have no idea you will have to enquire from dealers.

Piet, my werk aan my Swing is deur Keith van KP Caravan Repairs gedoen.

I have the same movers on my Rhapsody.

Fully loaded I have not had any issues to date.

(I do however have two cross-connected batteries under the bunk in the event that during a stay somewhere cannot get charged up and the wife and kids deplete the 12v system with their hairdryers and cell phones.  Just something else for you to consider)

Thanks for the advice guys.

Jaques, with your Elegance or Exclusive, is it necessary/suggested to replace the jockey wheel with a 2 or 3-wheel jockey wheel? It seems the double axle caravans are heavier on the nose than single-axles, and will thus “dig in” more, hence my question...

Installeer jy self?

Find out from the agents or distributers of the unit if they have installers, suppliers in Natal ,as Ewiks has people in the gauteng area for their product.

Hi Warren

Both the Exclisive and Elegance came with 3 wheel jocky and I later got a solid wheel as wide as the 3 wheel for the Elegance. The new Exclusive has a single wheel and I will be changing that in the week.

They are hevy but the Elegance was bad.
