About two weeks ago on my way to Richardsbay a few kilometers fom Mkuze my Sani burst a waterpipe feeding the back cylinders. I pulled off before the engine overheated. After finding the problem I proceded to phone the AA of which I am a member. After getting cut off several times I phoned crises on call they put me through directly to the AA. No difference I got cut off again. I kept calling back and holding on the last call 7 min when fellow campers Berry and Dorris stopped to help. We made a plan and about two hours later were back on the road to Richardsbay. I am eternally grateful to them for the help.

I then proceded to lodge a complaint with the AA only to be ignored again.

So we get settled in at Richardsbay. Then the mother of all storms hit us. My Sensation vents start leaking but as in buckets. I remove the covers only to discover they have been installed incorrectly and the big one has no screws holding the vent only wooden shims shoved between the bracket and ceiling. I contact Jaco at Sensation explaining the problem with pictures. He lets me know Martin will contact me. Guess what I am still waiting almost a week later.

So it just seems like service has now also decided good old SA is not worth while hanging around for.

It is frustrating that you practically have to put up a fight to get what your hard earned money paid for.

Now that Sensation and Jurgens ci are basically one company you end up with a take it or leave it attitude. When Riaan was the owner he helped immediately.

I am surprised at the bad service you got from the AA.  I am not a member of AA, but one would think their service would be top class, seeing what they stand for and that you pay to be a member.  It is not as if they are doing you a favour to attend to you.

It the problems with service are on the increase, and if you do not help yourself it is a long wait. Sensation caravans new owner most probibly do not know about this and you should contact him regarding your problem. Explain te problem and who you spoke to. Good luck.

Sover my kennis strek is die nuwe eienaar van jurgens, sensation en comet n baie konsensieuse persoon.
Kontak hom direk.
Wat die AA aanbetref.... ek weet nie wat om te sê nie. Eks seker jy kan met n meer SENIOR persoon gesels en jou klagte uitspel. Daardie persoon by telefoon ontvangs hoort nie in die job nie.

Die houding is, soos die een minister gese het. Ek word betaal om in die job te wees, as ek iets moet doen is dit extra.
Meeste v.d. algemene werkers het dié houding. As jy n permanente tuin werker het , kry hy R x om in die posissie te wees. As hy nou die gras moet sny, moet hy betaling kry daarvoor.

Dienste versleg oor die algemeen maar aaneenlopend. Ek wag vir n pakkie wat na my gestuur was met Speed services. Hulle web blad waar n pakkie opgespoor kan word is al dae buite werking. As jy die 0860 no. bel en gee jou tracking no. dan beloof hulle om spoeding terug te kom met antwoorde, wag nog al die tyd. Het ook die epos gebruik en tracking no gestuur sodat hulle jou kan laat week wat aan gaan, nog geen terugvoer nie.

Nou weet ek ook nie meer nie.

Geniet die lewe so lank as jy kan

Colin sê nou die aand, as jy na die nuus kyk, is daar altyd een of ander staatsbeheerde instansie waaroor gepraat word mbt korrupsie of wanbestuur ens.   SABC, SAA, SASSA, ESKOM, SAPC, Staatsdepartemente, SARS.   

As dit is hoe die kop van die vis lyk, wat verwag ons van die stert?

Dis seker menslik om eerder die foute in die samelewing raak te sien eerder as daardie dinge wat tog reg verloop. Alles is tog nie verlore in Suid-Afrika nie.

Ek dink terug oor my onlangse doen en late :-

  • 'n Jaar gelede op 'n vakansiedag (werkersdag) oppad Kruger Wildtuin toe bars my Pathfinder se sondak en geen nooddiens kan my help nie.  Op die ou einde maar self 'n tydelike plan met perspex gemaak en verder lekker wildtuin-vakansie gehou.  'n Maand later word my sondak deur Nissan vervang en my versekering betaal 100% sonder om 'n vraag te vra.
  • Hierdie week gee my GeyserWise (die elektroniese beheerstelsel tussen my solar-geyser en die elektriese geyser) die gees.  Lank nie meer onder waarborg nie, maar hulle bied aan om die eenheid gratis te herstel as ek dit uit die dak kan verwyder en dit vir hulle in Goodwood bring. Met my amper sewentig jarige lyf spring ek in die dak, spoor die beheerstelsel op, ontkoppel die twaalf elektroniese kabels en neem die eenheid Goodwood toe.  Ek word gevra om 10 minute te wag en daarna kry ek die eenheid terug.  By die huis terug in die dak, koppel al twaalf kabels op die regte plekke en siedaar, alles werk weer 100% !
  • Maandag neem ek my seun se Super Sport na Creative Caravan Worx vir 'n ondersteldiens en herseël asook 'n bietjie tent-herstelwerk vir my Exclusive.  Woensdag word ek geskakel, alles is gedoen en ek kan die spulletjie kom haal.  So gemaak en bevind dat alles netjies en perfek gedoen is, netsoos ek gevra het.
  • Vrydag doen ek navraag vir oornag kampering in die Julie-skoolvakansie by Reynekepark in Bloemfontein.  Binne 'n uur of twee kry ek 'n bekragtiging en faktuur per e-pos.
  • Verlede jaar op 27 Desember (dus tussen Kersfees en Nuwe Jaar wanneer 'n mens niks gedoen kry nie) ontwikkel my Mercedes 'n oorverhittings probleem.  Die plaaslike Mercedes handelaar, Paarl Motors, vervang die waterpomp en termostaat onmiddellik en die motor is later die dag gereed om afgehaal te word !
  • 'n Reuse palmboom op die sypaadjie voor ons huis lol om my plaveisel op te lig en die dooie takke is reeds so hoog dat dit gevaarlik raak om dit gereeld netjies te snoei.  Ek rapporteer die probleem en binne 'n week daag die munisipalteit op met 'n groot hyskraantrok en 'n spul werkers.  Binne 'n halfuur lê die opgesnyde palmboom op die trok en die omgewing is netjies opgeruim !

Alles is darem nog nie verlore nie.

Lennie dis baja goed om van al jou goeie diensleweringsinsidente td hoor. Diens glo ek is yl gesaai maar tog beskikbaar. Ek dink ons moet pluimpies gee soos jy by nane gedoen het.
Ek sal Manie by HC du Preez ook i pluimpie gee vir die custom battery monitor wat hy binne 3 dae vir my kon bou. Min wat mens so iets custom kan laat maak as dit nie in die 1e plek verstelbaar is nie.

Ek het in 1998 al 'n bloutjie geloop met die AA toe my Ford Saphire 'n waterpyp gebars het naby Howick in Natal. Dit was so met die terugkom na 'n baie genotvolle vakansie.

Ons is toe op die ou einde teen 10h00 deur Hyundai van Pietermarizburg gehelp. Hulle het nuwe pyp by FORD gaan koop. Uitgery na ons toe waar ons op die N3 gestrand is. Die tegnikus het die pyp opgesit. Die tegniekus het ook water saam gebring dit ingegooi enjin gestart. Seker gemaak als loop seep glad en dit het my nie 'n sent gekos nie. Hulle wou nie eers die geld gehad het vir die pyp wat hulle gekoop het nie.

Later die middag toe ons naby ons huis is toe het Hyhundai ons weer gebel net om te hoor of als nog reg is en waar ons trek.

Voor treflike diens AA kan maar daar gaan leer.

Min of meer dieselfde met ons gebeur in dieselfde tydperk. My Golf het oorverhit ook agv waterpyp. AA het gekom met niks daar aan nie...nie eers water nie. Hulle het toe 2 leë 500ml coke bottels in hul kar gehad wat hulle vir ons gegee het. Hulle sê ons kan water gaan skep uit die Tugela rivier wat baie naby was....maar dis nie n grappie om by daai walle op en af te gaan nie. Toe ek die eerste keer bo kom met water...toe is daai AA bakkie weg! Op die ou einde privaat mense vir ons goed gaan koop by Midas in Escourt. AA is vir my geld mors....kry beter diens by versekerings maatskappye se gratis padbystand

Believe Sensation has new owners, so guess thats where the problem with them is now, family business before and now "just another business"? For the AA, I will cancel my membership if I were you, makes no sense to pay membership fees to somebody who does not do what the membership is all about. I also had a bad customer experience this past Saturday at the Centurion Builders Warehouse, apart from them no longer being price competitive that seen with bad customer service simply means me votes with me feet and will no longer visit their stores...As consumers we have ALL the power, we must just learn to use it to force bad service providers out of the market.

Nie geweet Manie dP is steeds aan die gang nie! Het jare terug saam met hom by die destydse Kentron gewerk (deesdae Denel Dynamics), min mense wat met battery stelsels en elektroniese voertuig ignitions kan doen wat Manie kan!

Ek het die naweek by Bosveld Oase gekamp en my buurman het 'n Jurgens Elegance in die week by Comet gekoop. Hy het probleme met die pompies en krag in die agterste gedeelte van die wa ondervind. 16:00 saterdag middag toe kom tegnikuste uit vanaf Comet karavane om ondersoek in te stel en die probleem reg te maak. Ek moet byvoeg dat die klient die eienaar Quintin persoonlik ken. Miskien het dit gehelp maar ons moet die positiewe sien dat hulle uitgery het Brits toe. 

Se dankie vir wat jy in die lewe het.

Ek was 34 jaar 'n lid van die AA en het ook my lidmaatskap 'n paar jaar gelede gekanselleer weens swak dienslewering. Jy loop jou ook teen 'n muur vas as jy by hoer gesag wil 'n klagte lê.

 

Ek wonder ook nou wat gaan van die AA word as al hulle kliente die hase pad kies .
